FGHD and eSkills Malta Join Forces for Digital Empowerment

In partnership with eSkills Malta and with their support, the Foundation for Global Human Dignity has been organizing targeted digital literacy programs aimed at bridging technology gaps for some of the most underserved groups. These initiatives focus on empowering seniors and young Ukrainian expat girls with essential digital skills, preparing them for a more connected and informed future.

Digital Literacy for Senior Citizens

For seniors, FGHD offers dedicated courses to improve digital literacy, helping older adults navigate technology confidently and safely. Through this program, seniors learn fundamental skills, from using basic computer functions and internet navigation to accessing online services such as government portals, online banking, and health resources. The goal is to enhance their quality of life by enabling them to engage in today’s digital society with ease and independence. This initiative also fosters a sense of community, where participants can support each other and celebrate newfound skills.

Programming and Robotics for Ukrainian Expat Girls

Additionally, FGHD, with eSkills Malta’s support and a generous donor, has launched a programming and robotics course specifically for Ukrainian girls aged 10-14 who are currently residing abroad due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. In this course, participants dive into the basics of coding and robotics, using platforms like Scratch and LEGO Spike Prime. This hands-on approach nurtures creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork while opening doors to future opportunities in STEM fields.

Thanks to our donor, each participant in this program received a personal laptop, a crucial tool that allows them to practice and develop their skills beyond the classroom. This generous support ensures that these young learners have equal access to digital learning, making a lasting impact on their educational journey.
